HZMB Hong Kong Port: Crossing Procedure
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) is a major piece of infrastructure linking Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. At about 55 km long, it is the world's longest sea-crossing bridge. The Hong Kong Port is on Lantau Island, close to Hong Kong International Airport, and is open for crossings 24 hours a day.
Crossing is not complicated: after you get out of the car, just follow the signs. Hong Kong residents can use the e-Channel, which usually takes 5-10 minutes. To get to the port, you can book a taxi for a point-to-point transfer; after clearing Hong Kong immigration, take the Golden Bus (shuttle bus) to the Zhuhai or Macao port.
Please note: the HZMB Hong Kong Port is not in the city and is quite remote. If you haven't arranged transport in advance, you may have to wait a long time for a car after crossing, especially at night or on holidays.
To lock in your trip in advance, see the HZMB taxi flat-rate service page and book by phone or WhatsApp.
